The Missouri Mavericks are in the home stretch of their first season in Independence, Missouri and have a solid shot at making the playoffs in their first year of existence. Not only has a good team, but the thirst for professional hockey in the Kansas City area has made the Mavericks a hit.
The Mavs’ play by play guy, Bob Rennison joins me on this week’s podcast to talk about the first season on and off the ice. The team is averaging over 4,000 fans and have sold out nearly every Friday and Saturday night home game at the Independence Events Center which doesn’t have a bad seat in the house. In fact, when you attend a Maverick’s hockey game you’re never more than 17 rows from the ice!
