Four Southwest Missouri State student athletes have been suspended from team activities following their arrest in connection with the assault of another SEMO student at a house of campus.

Antonio Garritano, was charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Derek Gohn, Jared Goodson, and Pili Showers, were also charged with first-degree burglary. An earlier arrest had been made on Brett Jones.

According to the story in the Southeast Missourian by Erin Hevern, Blake Carlton a 21 year old business major, said he was sleeping on the couch when he was assaulted. He was thrown on a coffee table and later blacked out. His injuries included a black eye and a blow to the head.

Garritano, Gohn, Goodson and Jones are SEMO football players.
