For the second time this week, the St. Louis Blues will take on the Chicago Blackhawks. But, this time the game is at the Scottrade Center. On Wednesday night, the tilt was at the United Center and the Blues walked away with a 3-2 win.
The Note have had a busy week and this will be their third game in four days. After their win over Chicago, the Blues turned around and played a game Thursday night at home against the best team in the Western Conference, the San Jose Sharks. St. Louis would stay close, but San Jose left with a 4-2 win.
The Blackhawks have hit something they have not dealt with all season, that is a losing streak. The Hawks lost last night in a shoot out to Phoenix, which is their third in a row. The very potent Chicago offense has been quiet of late as they have managed just five goals in the last three games.
The Blues have been playing better of late, and as the Olympic break approaches, they are still in the playoff hunt. But, they will need more offense if they want to move up into the eighth and final spot. The Blues have only scored more than two goals once in their last six games.
The Hawks and the Blues, one of the best rivalries in the NHL, will drop the puck and probably the gloves tonight at 7:00.
