Even though it is the middle of winter, the baseball season is just around the corner. St. Louis Cardinal fans around the state will get to see some players old and new up close and personal as the 2010 edition of the Cardinal Caravan hits the road this weekend. 
 
The first caravan consisting of Cardinal players Kyle McClellan, David Freese, Josh Kinney and Matt Pagnozzi will be in Joplin this afternoon at 12:00 and in Rolla at 6:00 tonight. The emcee will be John Rooney and the group will also include Cardinal alumni Kerry Robinson, Tom Pagnozzi and Al Hrabosky.

 

The second caravan will make its only stop this afternoon at 12:00 in Hannibal. Cardinal players Colby Rasmus, Mitchell Boggs, Lance Lynn and Daniel Descalso will be in attendance along with former Cardinal Tom Lawless. The emcee for this group will be Dan McLaughlin.

Caravan three will make two stops in Missouri at noon today in Moberly and at 6:00 tonight in Jefferson City. Cardinals Skip Schumaker, Joe Mather, PJ Walters and Tyler Norrick will be there. The alumni group will include Andy Benes, Ken Dayley and Danny Cox. The emcee will be Rick Horton.

The fourth caravan will make a stop tomorrow afternoon in Ste. Genevieve at noon and on Monday evening at 5:30 in Cape Girardeau. The Cardinal players in attendance will be Jason Motte, Tyler Greene, Jaime Garcia and Adam Ottavino. Cardinal alumni on the stop will be Ken Reitz, Glen Brummer, and John Costello. The emcee will be Jay Randolph.
