Missouri State nearly pulled off the greatest comeback in school history Wednesday night at JQH Arena, cutting a 25-point second half deficit to one point with 12.2 seconds left, but come up short losing to Wichita State, 65-62.

The Bears played a dismal first half, trailing 37-18 at the break, but got going in the second half thanks to a 23-6 run that put the Bears down 51-49 with 6:02 to play. The Shockers went back up by nine with 3:17 to play, but the Bears closed to 63-62 with less than a minute to go on a three pointer and then a foul shot on the next possession, but Wichita State made two free throws to ice the game.

The Bears drop their second MVC game in a row and fall to 12-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
