Warner handles former team again

December 27, 2009 By Bill Pollock

Kurt Warner threw for 196 of his 313 yards in the second quarter and the Arizona Cardinals beat the Rams for the seventh time in a row 31-10 on Sunday.

The Cardinals reached 10 regular-season wins for the first time since 1976, when they were in St. Louis. The team would leave for the desert 12 years later. The Cardinals are still fighting for a first round playoff bye. Meanwhile the Rams drop to 1-14, and were without the league’s second leading rusher. Steven Jackson did not play because of a sore lower back, something that has bothered him most of the season.
