The National Weather Service is calling for a “mixed bag” of winter weather as rain changes into sleet and snow. Meteorologists say gusty winds will contribute to the blizzard-like conditions, making for perilous travel this evening.

The Western side of Missouri will start to see accumulation by this evening; Central Missouri and into the East likely won’t see any of the white stuff until around daybreak Christmas morning.
