Alex Steen scored a goal and had three assists and Andy McDonald scored twice as the Blues won for the second consecutive day, beating the Edmonton Oilers 7-2 getting redemptions for a 5-3 loss earlier in December when the Blues blew a three goal lead.

David Perron, Brad Boyes, Patrik Berglund and Jay McClement also scored for the Blues, who moved out of the Western Conference cellar with their win in Vancouver on Sunday and gained further ground on Monday.

One of the Blues downfalls this season has been the power play where St. Louis was ranked 29th in the league. They scored four power play goals against Edmonton. The Blues peppered goalie Devan Dubnyk who was making his first NHL start. The Oilers are in last place in the Western Conference in part to the injury of their number one goalie Nikolai Khabibulin who has a back injury.
