No charges will be filed against Missouri women’s basketball players Jessra Johnson and Amanda Hannaman. Boone County prosecutors are saying it comes down to a “he said-she said” case that left Justin Short, a Mizzou male cheerleader with a broken nose. The two players and cheerleader are still suspended indefinitely from their teams.

Johnson and Hannaman admitted they hit Short, but only to come to the defense of Short’s roommate, a female, after she complained of loud noise at the “after hours” party Short was hosting. The basketball players claimed that Short got physically rough with his roommate and they stopped him.

Prosecutors said that obviously alcohol was involved, there are varying stories and nobody wanted to press charges so there isn’t much to go off of for County prosecutors to go on.
