The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that the St. Louis Cardinals are changing up their offer a bit to free agent outfielder Matt Holliday by adding guaranteed years to the contract.

The Post-Dispatch is reporting the proposal is worth $16 million a season and extending their offer to as many as eight years. General Manager John Mozeliak said that he has renewed talks with Holliday’s agent Scott Boras. The Cardinals made one other offer to Holliday at baseball’s winter meetings.
