The Missouri Tigers had an easy time taking care of the Oregon Ducks in the Big 12/Pac 10 Hardwood Classic Saturday evening at Mizzou Arena winning 106-69.

Marcus Denmon led six Tigers in double figures as he led the Tigers with 17 point. It was a typical Missouri win. They forced the Ducks into 21 turnovers, held them to 31% shooting and pushed the ball up the court. The Tigers had 28 assists on 27 field goals and shot 58% from the field including 14 of 29 on three pointers.

After Denmon, Zaire Taylor had 16 points, followed by Kim English and Laurence Bowers with 14 apiece. JT Tiller and Michael Dixon scored 10 apiece.

The Tigers never trailed jumping out to a 6-0 lead. Oregon made the score 26-17 with 7:26 to play in the first half, when Mizzou went on a big run, when Denmon scored 10 of Missouri’s 12 points on three, three pointers and a free throw in a span of 2:03. That made the lead 48-18.

Just two minutes into the second half, Oregon cut the lead to 23 points, but Mizzou game charged up after a :30 timeout was taken by Mike Anderson. His Tigers responded by opening the lead to 30 with 10:25 to play in the game.

Mizzou is now 5-2 on the season snapping a two game losing streak. Mizzou has now won 41 straight non-conference home games.
