The Mizzou Tiger football team will have to wait just one more day to see which bowl game they will get to play in later on this month.  The Tigers finished the regular season one week ago today with a come from behind 41-39 win over Kansas in the Border Showdown game at Arrowhead Stadium. It would appear that the Tigers will be in one of two places, either Tempe, Arizona or Houston, Texas.  The game in Tempe would be the Insight Bowl, which the Tigers did play in three years ago.  Mizzou lost that game to Oregon State.  The game in Houston would be the Texas Bowl.  The Tigers have never played in this bowl game.

Most Tiger fans would like to see the 9-4 team get the Insight game rather than the Texas one.  But, bowl officials in Arizona, are reportedly also very interested in the 6-6 Iowa State Cyclones.  The Cyclones, under head coach Paul Rhoads, are bowl eligible for the first time since 2005.

Most online sports news sites have the Tigers headed to Tempe with the Cyclones headed to Houston.  However, the final decison will be made by the respective bowl committees tomorrow after all of the college football games are finished for the season.

Whatever game the Tigers play in, and whether the fans agree with the choice or not, this will be the fifth straight year that Mizzou will be involved in post season bowl game play.
