Christian Brothers College, St. Dominic and Whitfield are the 2009 Boy High School soccer champions after wrapping up play this weekend at the A-B Soccer Complex in Fenton, MO.
In the Class 3 final, Jake Bond of CBC scored in the 20th minutes to defeat Saint Louis University High 1-0. This came after a 6-2 semifinal win that saw Matt Hutchinson score a hat trick.
In Class 2, St. Dominic dominated Bolivar for a 7-2 win. The match was close at 1-0 in the first half, but a six goal outburst by St. Dominic in the second half ended Bolivars title hopes. Troy Gittemeier scored two goals in the win.
In Class 1, Travis Williams scored the lone goal in the 20th minute at Whitfield holds Springfield Catholic to two shots on goal for the game a 1-0 state championship win.
