Police in Poplar Bluff are investigating the deaths of three teenagers who were killed when the car they were in ran off the road and became submerged in a creek that had been swollen by the rain.

It happened shortly after 7:30 Friday morning. Two vehicles ended up in the water. The occupant of one of the cars was rescued but the three occupants of the other car drowned before they could be pulled out.

The victims are identified as 16-year-old Kyle Rose, 16-year-old Jeremiah Klein, and his brother, 15-year-old Christopher Klein. Police are not yet saying what led to the vehicles going into the water.
