Lions Take On Ravens

October 31, 2009 By Missourinet Contributor

The number three NAIA team in the nation, the Lindenwood Lions, will be back on the field Saturday after having last week off. The Lions will be at home to take on the Benedictine College Ravens.

So far this season, the 7-0 Lions have been next to unstoppable on offense as they are average more than 58 points per game and more than 530 yards of total yards per game. They are led by quarterback Philip Staback who has thrown for more than 1500 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has thrown only three interceptions all season.

Lindenwood is coming off a huge game before their bye week. The Lions defense allowed only 10 points as they destroyed Culver-Stockon 67-10.

The Ravens, after being ranked nationally earlier in the season, come into the game with a record of 4-4. Last week, Benedictine jumped out to an early 21-0 first half lead against Culver-Stockton on their way to a 49-7 win.

This game will be the CollegeFanz NAIA Game of the Week and will be broadcast live over the internet.

Saturday’s game will kick off at 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
