Missouri soldier killed in Afghanistan

A Missourian was among the seven U.S. soldiers who were killed on Tuesday in Afghanistan. 27-year-old Sergeant Isaac B. Jackson of Plattsburg died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device in Arghandab Valley.

Jackson and his fellow soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division in Fort Lewis, Washington.
