October 20, 2009 By Bill Pollock

After defeating their third ranked opponent in five weeks the Missouri Western Griffons moved up three spots to 12th in the latest American Football Coaches’ Association Division II Poll. The Griffons also moved up one spot in the Super Regional Four Poll to third.

Last week the Griffons dominated the #14 ranked Central Missouri Mules by a score of 36-21 on Homecoming at Spratt Stadium. The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats have won seven in a row after their opening season loss to then #2 Abilene Christian who is now ranked 9th.

The Bearcats are third in the Super Regional Poll trailing Central Washington and A-C.
