The Missouri Western defense sacked the Truman State quarterback five times and forced two turnovers in a 38-14 victory over the Bulldogs in Kirksville, Mo. The Griffon offense accumulated more than 400 yards of total offense for the fourth time this season with 418 today.

Western dominated Truman State in the first half taking a 28-0 halftime lead. The Griffons out gained the Bulldogs 278 to -9 and had 16 first downs to zero. The Griffons dominated the ground game rushing for 112 total yards with Thomas Hodges rushing for 59 yards on ten carries with one touchdown. Western held the Bulldogs to -15 yards rushing on 15 carries. The one down fall for the Griffons in the opening half of play was that they had two turnovers.
