NFL sources have confirmed that St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts and radio personality Rush Limbaugh are joining together in a bid to buy the St. Louis Rams. In a statement released by the Rams, owner Chip Rosenbloom said, “Our strategic review of our ownership of the Rams continues. We will make an announcement upon the completion of the process.”
The Checketts/Limbaugh group would keep the team in St. Louis. There are multiple bidders who have moved to the second stage which is where the bidders are weeded out. Kevin Demoff, the Rams’ executive VP of football operations told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the team really wouldn’t comment on outside interests in the team. He stated there is no pressure or rush (excuse the pun) to sell the team.
