The home opener for the Mizzou Tigers is now just a few hours away at Faurot Field in Columbia. Mizzou will be looking to go 2 and 0 on the season against Bowling Green after the Tigers beat Illinois 37 to 9 last Saturday in St. Louis.

The Tiger offense, led by quarterback Blaine Gabbert, will be looking to continue their success. The Mizzou defense will be trying for a repeat performance of last week, when they did not allow a touchdown until late in the second half.

However, this may not be an easy game for the Tigers as they face Bowling Green from the Mid American conference. The Falcons opened their season last Thursday with a 31 to 14 win over Troy.

Mizzou and Bowling Green have played each other in the past, with the Falcons having a 3 to 1 lead in the series. The last time these two teams played was in Ohio in 2002, when the Falcons mauled the Tigers 51to 28.

This is Salute to America day at Faurot Field and will feature a B-2 bomber fly over prior to the game. Kick off is set for 6:00.
