Chiefs cut veteran lineman, Rams d-lineman out for year

September 5, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

Today is the day, 5pm central when NFL teams must get their rosters down to the required 53 players.  We’re keeping an eye on Chase Daniel in Washington and to see what the Chiefs and Rams do closing in on the deadline.

The Chiefs need to make 14 more cuts today after releasing eight players yesterday including nine year veteran, right tackle Damion McIntosh.  He played poorly in the game against the Rams and gave up a brutal sack.

The Rams may be checking the waiver wire later today for a defensive lineman after it was reported that Adam Carriker will need shoulder surgery.  Head coach Steve Spagnuolo said Carriker will most likely land on injured reserve.  This is not the same shoulder that Carriker had surgery on in 2007.
