The Royals came back from a 4-1 deficit to beat the White Sox 5-4.  John Buck hit a two run homer and Billy Butler doubled three times, driving in another two runs.  Butler is the only everyday player hitting over .300.

Gil Meche stuck around long enough to pick up his sixth win of the year and his second in a row after going two months without a win.  He gave up a solo home run to Paul Konerko and a two run shot to Carlos Quentin in a  three run, third inning.

Robinson Tejada pitched three innings allowing just one walk while striking out five.  Joakim Soria pitched the ninth for his 20 th save.

The Royals sent third basemen Alex Gordon down to AAA.  He was hitting just .227 with two home runs and eight RBIs in 22 games since coming back from hip surgery.  How much longer will the Royals wait on Gordon.  Mark Teahen has had a break out year batting .280.  He was slated to be the team’s third basemen before they brough Gordon along.  Does the season Teahen is having make Gordon expendible?
