The Missouri Tigers were scheduled to hold another scrimmage this morning at Faurot Field, but instead just ran a regular practice.  Early on in the practice there were some of the same mistakes that head coach Gary Pinkel says need to be corrected before the season.

The Tigers were pretty sluggish early on and showed a lapse of concentration at times.  There were quite a few dropped passes.  As practice progressed, Blaine Gabbert was making some nice throws.   The problem seems to come more from 2 nd and 3 rd string players more so than the regulars.

Blaine Dalton, continued to impress the coaches as the battle for the number two QB spot is heating up between Dalton and Jimmy Costello.

Injury news:  Sophomore tight end Andrew Jones left the field toward the end of practice with what’s being called a hip bruise.  Sophomore right tackle Dan Hoch left the field with a bruised knee.  The severity of each injury is unknown.  If either one of those injuries is lengthy, it would be a tough blow to the offense.
