Battling two lengthy rain delays, the Cardinals rallied with three runs in the ninth inning.  Yadier Molina singled in the tying run and Colby Rasmus hit a walk off two run homer off San Diego closer Heath Bell for a 7-5 win.

This was the Cardinals’ ninth win in a row at home.  With the Cubs rained out, the Cardinals are now up five games in the Central Division.  Kyle Loshe gave up five runs in five innings including a home run to Adrian Gonzalez.  It was the All-Stars 32nd of the year.

The game with the rain delays took nearly six hours to complete.  Despite the off day for Lohse, he helped his own cause when he singled with two outs to score Mark DeRosa.  Then walks by Brendan Ryan and Julio Lugo brought in catcher Yadier Molina to tie the game at 3-3. Molina doubled in the fifth to give the Cardinals the lead, but San Diego rallied right back with three straight hits and a sacrifice fly to start the sixth to put the Padres up 5-4.
