A little bit of nasty weather was not going to slow the Kansas City Chiefs down as they would practice in the rain Friday morning in River Falls, but the skies would clear for the afternoon session.

Chiefs new head coach Todd Haley was not about to let the weather dictate the pace or style of practice.  The only change in the morning practice was the removal of one three minute break, since the weather was wet and cool.

The big news of the day came after the first session as the Chiefs signed their first round draft pick, defensive end Tyson Jackson out of LSU.  The team hopes Jackson will help a defense that had just 10 sacks last year, which set an NFL record.  In order to make room for Jackson, the team waived linebacker Weston Dacus.

The Chiefs would have their first inter-squad scrimmage of the season Saturday afternoon.
