Chiefs Head Coach Todd Haley is mixing in two-a-day practices with long single practices like the one on Sunday…and the players are paying for it early on. The weekend started with three, three hundred yard shuttle runs that players needed to finish within a certain amount of time or not practice on Saturday.

Defensive linemen Glenn Dorsey was one of the players who did not make the time.  If Haley and his no nonsense approach doesn’t turn this guy around nothing will.  I have the felling Dorsey is going to come up a bust and be out of the league within two years.

Haley came in and wanted to whip this team into shape.  The Chiefs loss several games in the fourth quarter by being unable to finish business.  Haley’s off-season workout regime helped the Chiefs lose 340 pounds collectively as a team…they dropped a Glenn Dorsey!!!

On Sunday, the Chiefs practiced for two and a half hours which Haley said he hopes to mix up the two-a-days with longer one day practices to help work with conditioning.  At the end of Sunday’s practice, the team worked on a spirited goal line offense and defense drill.  Haley said at the end of the game or a long drive, he hopes to make the team mentally tougher to avoid break downs which can lead to missed tackles and penalties.
