The Royals were rained out Monday night as they were set to host the L.A. Angels of Anaheim.  General Manager Dayton Moore gave manager Trey Hillman a vote of confidence saying he will return next season.

Heading into today’s double header, The Royals are 37-54, 17 games below .500.  They’ve lost six straight and eight of the last nine.  The public support for Hillman comes after the Royals had  leads into the eighth inning in three games over the weekend against Tampa Bay, only to have the Rays rally and win each game.

Royals outfielder Jose Guillen who has been known to fly off the handle, did it again yesterday afternoon, this time it was directed at himself.  Upset with the way he is playing this season, Guillen who is batting .246 said, "Sometimes, I feel I should take money out of my own pocket and buy tickets for every fan. Because you know what? For a $12 million man, these are not the numbers you should be expecting. I admit it. I’m not playing to my potential."  We’ll see if he comes through with his offer.  Don’t hold your breath.

The Royals website has two times for the first game.  One story says 3:10 p.m., the other 4:10 p.m.  The second game will start 30 minutes after the first or at 7:10 p.m.
