An amazing story continues to unfold at the British Open Golf Championship in Turnberry, Scotland. Kansas City’s Tom Watson has the third round lead at 4 under par 206.

Watson got into some trouble on Saturday, bogeying the 6th, 9th, 12th, and 15th holes, but birdied the 7th, 16th, and 17th to bounce back and fire a 1 over par 71 for the day. The 59-year-old Watson, who has won the Claret Jug as British Open champion five times, heads into Sunday’s final round with a one stroke lead over Australian Mathew Goggin and Britain’s Ross Fisher.

John Daly, formerly of Jefferson City, is tied for 14th at 8 over par 212.
