Former Bearcat signs in Germany

Recent Northwest Missouri State University graduate Hunter Henry has signed a professional contract with Bayer Giants Leverkusen of German Pro B. The team is based out of Leverkusen, Germany. 

Henry is the third-leading rebounder and fifth-leading scorer in program history with totals of 808 and 1,592, respectively. He also ranks second in career blocks with 109 and is fourth in both field goals and free throws made.

Henry was named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Player following the 2006-07 season when he averaged 17.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and shot 58 percent from the field. He was named MIAA tournament MVP during his junior campaign in 2008 and earned first-team and all-defensive team honors this past season. 

Henry played in 116 games and started 89 in his four-year career, which included three trips to the NCAA tournament. He shot 55.4 percent in those season while carrying career averages of 13.7 points and 7.0 rebounds.
