The Pro Football Hall of Fame will honor former Chiefs’ owner Lamar Hunt with a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 8, when the museum will hold a ceremony to  open the new Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery.

The gallery is named in honor of the man who named the Super Bowl.  Hunt was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972 himself.  The Lamar Hunt Super Bowl Gallery will be dedicated to a single subject, the Super Bowl.

His son and Chiefs Chairman Clark said, “This is a tremendous honor for our family and a meaningful tribute to my father’s contributions to the NFL’s showcase event."  For more on the new Super Bowl Gallery , click here.
