St. Louis Cardinals’ starting pitcher Kyle Lohse started for Springfield on Thursday night throwing 79 pitches in 4.2 innings and got a no-decision in Springfield’s 4-2 win over Frisco at Hammons Field.

Lohse gave up a solo home run, just two batters into the game, as Mitch Moreland took him out to right-center field, giving Frisco a 1-0 lead.  Lohse on the DL with soreness in his right forearm, settled down after giving up a homer and two walks in the first inning. He allowed just one hitter to reach over the next three innings, until running into trouble in the fifth.

The right-hander will throw a bullpen in two days and could rejoin the big-league club for his next start.
