July 3, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

Voting for the 80th All Star Game to be played at Busch Stadium on July 14th, ended Thursday night.  Now we have to wait unitl Sunday to find out 32 of the 33 spots on the All-Star roster.

You can watch the announcement on Sunday from noon to 1pm on TBS.  Dustin Pedroia was within 7,000 votes of former Mizzou star Ian Kinsler for the starting spot at second for the American League.  If Yadier Molina holds off Atlanta’s Brian McCann, he’ll be the first in 17 years, to be voted in as the hometown catcher.  If McCann pass Molina, it will go down as the biggest final week comeback in All-Star voting history.

The Missourinet will be at the All-Star game with coverage beginning on Monday prior to the Home Run Derby on Monday as well as updates provided on Tuesday the day before the game.  You can also follow updates on twitter.com/missourisports .
