Pujols, Molina Lead All-Star Voting

St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols and catcher Yadier Molina continue to lead their positions in National League voting for the All-Star game.  Pujols though has lost the overall voting lead to Philadelphia’s Chase Utley.  The Cardinals will host this year’s contest on July 14th. 

Pujols leads all first baseman with 2,158,036 votes with Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard second with 1,146,227 votes.  Utley, who was behind Pujols by about 2,500 votes last week, now holds a 15,000 vote edge on the Cardinals superstar with 2,273,355 votes.

Molina leads NL catchers with 1,051,485 votes with Braves catcher Brian McCann second with 895,663.

Voting for the All-Star game wraps up on July 2nd.
