Adam Wainwright pitched well striking out eight while allowing just three hits.  He left in the 7th inning down by a run.  From there it all went downhill as the bullpen got lit up in an 11-4 loss to Colorado Friday night at Busch Stadium.

After a walk by Wainwright to start the seventh ended his day, Dennys Reyes entered and loaded the bases before walking Rockies pitcher Jorge De La Rosa. Jason Motte followed and gave up three straight hits, including the game that blew it open, a three-run double by Todd Helton to make it 8-1.

Then Tony LaRussa called up Jess Todd who was recently called up to make his major league debut and was tagged for a three run homer from Ian Stewart.  That made the game 11-1 at that point.
