House leadership has begun this day as it has most days this legislative session, waiting for the Senate to approve an economic development bill.

The House began the last day of the legislative session working on routine business as its number one priority is debated in the Senate. House Majority Floor Leader Steven Tilley (R-Perryville) tells the Missourinet there remains plenty of time for a jobs bill to be passed, but the Senate must act. House Speaker Ron Richard (R-Joplin) jokes when asked by the Missourinet about his reaction to the Senate, "What has the Senate done?" Richard says the House stands ready to approve a measure, noting the House sent the Senate a bill the first week of February.
