Mizzou’s Greg Folgia was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week for his effort this past week that included four home runs, 20 RBIs and a .500 batting average in the Tigers’ four games last week.

Folgia also hit .545 in the three-game series against Kansas. Against Missouri State and hit his ninth home run of the season. He opened the series against Kansas with his second two-home run game of the season, including an inside the park homer.

Folgia homered for the third-straight game on Saturday, as he hit his team-leading 12th home run of the year. He closed the week by going 3-for-5 with two RBI on Sunday against KU.

Folgia has helped the surging Tigers move into the 2nd place in the Big 12 conference after a slow start for the preseason team that was ranked 10th entering the season.
