A fourth death has been attributed to last Friday’s storms that raked southern Missouri. A 62-year old man’s death has been attributed to flash flooding in the Lowry City area. Authorities say he drowned in a pond while trying to unclog a drain pipe.

Utility workers continue restoring power.Spokesman Susie Stonner at the state emergency management agency says more than 150-thousand people lost electricity in the wind and rain storms Friday. By noon today, the number of customers without electricity was down to about 25, 000.

Spokesman Susie Stonner with the State Emergency Management Agency says the state transportation department has been clearing state routes closed by water; the conservation department is clearing many county roads; and the highway and water patrols are providing law enforcement and communications assistance. She says the agency and the Office of Administration have rounded up several generators for areas without electricity.
