The St. Louis Rams released linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, with head coach Steve Spagnuolo calling it a difficult decision.  Tinoisamoa was a six year veteran who led the Rams in tackles last season.

Tinoisamoa, led the team with 135 tackles (88 solo) in 2008, after spending part of the 2007 and 2006 seasons on the reserved/injured list.  The Rams selected Tinoisamoa in the second round (43 rd overall) of the 2002 Draft.  That season, he became the first Rams player to lead the team in tackles as a rookie with 121 tackles (70 solo).
