Joakim Soria pitched an 1.2 innings in relief and got the win as the Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 10-7 in 11 innings.   It was Soria’s first action since missing a week with a sore shoulder, but he came up big when they needed him.

Soria came on in the bottom of the 10 th inning with a man on second and one out and got out of the inning.  Then in the 11 th , the Royals used four walks, a hit batter and an RBI single by David DeJesus to hang a three spot on the Twins bullpen. 

Twins catcher Joe Mauer has come back with a vengence since missing the first month going 4 for 6.  Willie Bloomquist was 3 for 5.  Alberto Callaspo went 3 for 6 and Miguel Olivo drove in three runs.
