Mr Irrelevant comes to MO. for 2nd straight year

April 28, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

4-28 Succop.jpg For the second year in a row  Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick in the NFL draft will be coming to Missouri.  Last year it was Idaho linebacker David Vobora going to the Rams.  This year it’s a kicker from South Carolina going to the Chiefs.

Ryan Succop is a kicker, punter from the University of South Carolina.  He said he had several teams express interest in his abilities and he was told he could be drafted, with one of those teams being the Chiefs.  He says he has no plans of being irrelevant for long and hopes to make an impact in the NFL.  Kicking has been an issue the last couple of years for the Chiefs and this could be their answer.

As a sophomore and junior he handled punting along with kickoffs and field goals, but last year dropped the punting.  Last season he was just 20 of 30 and just 1 of 4 from beyond 50, that was a 54 yarder.
