April 20, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

The St Louis Blues gave up three power play goals to the Vancouver Canucks in a 3-2 loss in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals Sunday night at the Scottrade Center. The Blues now trail in the series three games to none.

Steve Bernier, Mattias Ohlund and Daniel Sedin tallied power-play goals for Vancouver while Roberto Luongo stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced in the win.  David Backes and Andy McDonald both lit the lamp and dished out an assist for the Blues in a losing effort.  Chris Mason gave up all three scores on 26 shots for St. Louis, which was playing its first postseason home game since April 13, 2004.

Game four of the seven game s series is set for Tuesday night in St. Louis.
