MU wrestling in 10th place

March 20, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

Wrestling-2_piknik.jpg The Missouri Tiger wrestling squad is in 10th place after day one of the 79th annual NCAA Divison I Wrestling Championships in St. Louis.  The Tigers have 18 points.  Iowa and Iowa State are tied with 33.

Four Tiger grapplers, Michael Chandler (157), Raymond Jordan (174), Maxwell Askren (197) and Mark Ellis (HWT) remain alive in the championship side of the bracket on Friday.

Todd Schavrien, Marcus Hoehn, and Nicholas Marable will compete in the wrestle-backs in an attempt to earn All-American honors and help the overall team score.
