The Truman State University Athletics Department has announced that volleyball head coach Jason Skoch has resigned his position to fill the head coaching vacancy at West Texas A&M University, a Division II program located in Canyon, Texas.

In four seasons at the helm, Skoch posted a 137-22 (.862) career mark, including a 54-8 (.871) record in MIAA contests. The Bulldog volleyball program qualified for the national tournament in each of Skoch’s four years and twice advanced to the Elite Eight.

He led the Bulldogs to a first-place finish in the MIAA regular season twice and won the MIAA tournament three times before the tournament was eliminated following the 2007 season.

Truman and West Texas A&M are scheduled to meet this fall at the Washburn Crossover Invitational on October 3.
