Rams release TE Becht

The St. Louis Rams have released tight end Anthony Becht.  The 31 year old, played one season with the Rams after joining the team as an unrestricted free agent from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2008.  He played in 16 games with 11 starts and totaled six catches for 39 yards last season. 

A former first-round draft choice (27 th overall) of the New York Jets in the 2000 NFL Draft, Becht played in 142 career games with 118 starts.  He has made 178 receptions for 1,450 yards with 20 touchdowns.  Becht has started all seven postseason contests of his career and has postseason totals of 10 catches for 76 yards with one touchdown.
