State Auditor tracking stimulus money

March 10, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

The State Auditor’s Office is tracking the federal stimulus money coming into Missouri as well as where it’s spent.

Auditor Susan Montee says they wanted to make sure there was a place where the public can track those funds as well and has added a link to its Web site, auditor.mo.gov , to show the transactions.

The Senate today approved legislation accepting the federal funds. The bill now goes to Gov. Nixon for approval.

Montee says right now the only funding there is $223 Million for Medicaid, which hasn’t been dispersed yet, but that once money starts coming in, her office will update the Web site daily.
