Big first inning leads Royals to win

March 9, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

A seven run first inning with RBI singles from Billy Butler, Brayan Pena and Shane Costa, plus three walks and an error helped the Royals to a 7-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

After that big first inning outburst, the bats went relatively silent from that point on as the Royals finished with just seven hits on the day.  Zach Greinke, who
continues to work on a changeup struggles a bit at times with his control, but he still
managed a scoreless 3.1 innings worth of work.
