The Cardinals hung an 8 spot on the Marlins in the 5th inning, but six defensive errors led to a 9-8 Sunday afternoon.  Adam Wainwright gave up just one earned run, but he is not happy with what he’s done so far this spring.

Skip Schumaker made two of the six errors and his throw turning a double play nearly knocked out Albert Pujols.  His throw forced Pujols to stretch off the base.  He was hit in the head by Wes Helms as he ran by.  Pujols stayed in the game and said he was fine.

Wainwright gave up three runs, one earned as he wasn’t helped by three of those six errors, but Wainwright is not happy with how he’s progressing this spring.  He says his delivery is a bit out of whack and he’s looking to find some consistency.  You can listen to his comments below.

This weekend, Troy Glaus took his first swings off of a tee since having shoulder surgery.  Ryan Ludwick who has a strained oblique hopes to return on Tuesday when the Cardinals return to action.
