Bowe wants Crabtree, Holt wants out

March 5, 2009 By admin Leave a Comment

There is big news all over the NFL from Warner signing with Arizona to Dallas kicking Terrell Owens out of Big D.  Now, Chiefs’ WR Dwayne Bowe offers his advice on the draft and Rams’ WR Torry Holt wants out of STL.

According to the website, Chiefstailgate.net , wide receiver Dwayne Bowe says the Chiefs should use their third pick in the draft to take Michael Crabtree because quote  "He’s a good guy and he’ll stretch the field and make me better in that no one can double-team me, so I’d go with him."

Bowe hasn’t even spoken with new GM Scott Pioli yet about his role, let alone his draft insight.

Seven time Pro Bowl wide receiver Torry Holt wants out of St. Louis.  It’s likely the Rams will meet the 32 year old’s request.  He is due a signing bonus on March 17, worth $1.25 million.  The Rams could still trade him as well, but both sides realize he does not fit into the future plans of new head coach Steve Spagnuolo.

It’s nice to see the Dallas Cowboys cleaning up their act by getting rid of Pacman Jones and now Terrell Owens.  I’m sure T.O. will take his act to another NFL team.  Former Rams’ Superbowl MVP Kurt Warner took a visit to San Francisco, but his heart (and wallet) belongs in Arizona.  He signed on for two years at $23 million.

The 49ers then turned around and signed former Chiefs QB Damon Huard.  Huard will not be their starter, but will provide veteran backup leadership.  OK, I’ve never understood this.  If the 49ers saw the way Damon Huard played with the Chiefs, why would they justify he could be the guy that could lead their offense should their number one guy go down with an injury?
