The Missouri State Bears will honor seniors Chris Cooks, Wade Knapp, and Shane and Spencer Laurie in pregame ceremonies tonight as the Bears shoot for their 20 th straight win on Senior Night.  Tonight will be a tough one.  Conference favorite Creighton comes in with an eight game winning streak.

The Bears are coming off a thrilling 79-77 road win at Ohio Valley Conference leader Tennessee-Martin on Saturday. A last-second jumper by freshmen  Kyle Weemshit the rim twice before falling through to break the team’s four-game losing streak and secure the program’s 1500th all-time victory.

Creighton is the preseason MVC favorite and returns three starters from last season’s 22-11 squad that finished fourth in the Missouri Valley with a 10-8 record.  Senior Booker Woodfox (6-1, 185, G) leads the Bluejays in scoring(16.1) and three-pointers (81) to go with his NCAA-leading 51.3 percent shooting percentage from three and 89.1 percent effort from the free throw line.

Woodfox was 8 of 10 and led Creighton in their Bracket Buster win over George Mason.

The Bears are 3-13 and in last in the conference standings.  Creighton is 12-4 and in first in the conference.
