The Missouri Tiger football team has completed their 2009 schedule by adding Furman on September 19 th at Faurot Field, one of the top FCS teams programs in the country, having advanced to the FCS playoffs seven times in the last 10 seasons.

Furman has played Virginia Tech, Clemson, and North Carolina in each of the past three seasons having lost to Va. Tech 24-7 last season.  The year before that they were blown out by Clemson 38-10, and in 2006, lost 45-42 to the Tar Heels.

Mizzou’s non-conference schedule gets underway Sept. 5 th with the Arch Rivalry game in St. Louis against Illinois, and the home opener is set for Sept. 12 th against Bowling Green.  After the Furman game, on Sept. 19 th , the Tigers will wrap up non-conference play on Sept. 26 th at Nevada.
